Anticlastically Hammered Sweetman Swirl Sterling Silver Hoop Earrings
A divine fluid shape that sits on any ear beautifully. This light weight, simple yet elegant design is made of sterling silver (low tarnish argentium) I start with a flat sheet of metal and hammer it up and around an antler like form hundreds of thousands of times to create this beautiful shape, one earring has about 1500 blows with the hammer. This technique is called anticlastic raising and it dates back to the bronze age over 2,000 years ago!
When you buy these earrings you know this is a rare piece of art jewelry as I am one of a few people in the world specializing in this high craft technique. Also you can feel good about buying this as I NEVER buy metal that has been milled from a mine, it is all recycled 100% green.
The sizes are small medium and large(in the photo is a colse up of a late with diamonds at the end and the model in pink is wearing the medium) or a special stone that is not included. IF you want a stone please message me or look at my diamond listings.
